Nasty

Oxidative phosphorylation.

Chlorophyll on white.

12 - 0.

Non-elastic collision.

Subluxation.

Vociferous.

Forlorn tomes.

Myalgia.

This, my lame attempt at modern, nasty, post-modern poetry. Would it really tell you much about my afternoon if I didn't inform you that I played flag football with vet classes 1-3?

Very good (?), but what's up with the oxidative phosphorylation? And who won 12-0?

Energy (ATP) for endurance exercise is created via oxidative phosphorylation in the mitochondria of muscle cells. I don't think I had that exactly in mind when I was writing the poem, but that is the best way to get the term to fit.

The score was 12-0 around the time I arrived at the game. 12 was on the sophomore side - they went on to finish creaming the juniors/freshmen.

I assume further that the "forlorn tomes" should be interpreted to signify the suspension of studies involved in playing football?

You have assumed correctly, oh my brother.
